Can anyone
tell me why my
four-year-olds
are sitting on
the couch
pretending
they "have
head lice"?
Who We Are
We are parents, expectant parents, and
guardians of twins, "virtual" twins, and other
higher order multiples.

SSPOM was founded in 1956 as Southside
Mothers of Twins Club.  The club changed its
name in September 2000 to be "more
inclusive" of higher order multiples, and to
recognize the increasing presence of fathers
in the realm of parenting.

Got Triplets?  We do!
At our July "Installation Banquet"
members brought their spouse
or significant other and enjoyed
dinner together in a very casual
atmosphere.  We had six parents
of triplets present, and a total of
34 members present!

Mom's Night Out
Dine at an area restaurant with
other Moms of Multiples and share funny  stories, get
advice, or just enjoy the company of other moms.

Children's Parties  4-5 parties per year.  Bring all
of your kids.  Snacks,  games, story time, and the kids
make gluey crafts.  Usually $2-$3 per family.

Appreciation Night Invite those near and dear to
your heart who have helped you survive your
pregnancy, or life with your kids.  Spouses,
significant others, babysitters, grandparents, etc.
This is their night to be appreciated!

Play Groups Held monthly at a member's home,
the children's museum, the zoo, wherever!  There
are always extra arms to hold babies, wipe noses,
change diapers, corral kids.  Kids of all ages are
welcome.

Monthly Meetings Held the third Thursday of
each month (usually) at St. John's Church.  Check
map for directions.  Meetings begin at 7:30 pm,
socializing between 7:00 - 7:30 pm.  Mostly moms
attend, but dads are known to come when the topic
interests them.  Yes, it's business as usual, but we try
to make the meetings informative & include a
speaker, support group tables, or a craft.  Check our
calendar for location changes.
